Jim has worked on Internet stuff (drivers, protocol stacks and client/server software) since its beginning in the 1970’s while he was getting his BSEE at Stanford University. Indeed, he was an undergraduate student of Vint Cerf who is widely recognized as the co-father of the Internet. Over his 40+ year career he has worked at Stanford Research, Apple, and Motorola on Internet topics including wireless networking. He has authored multiple articles and reviews for various Java-focused books and magazines and in retirement has now changed his focus to helping people use WordPress and Internet of things devices.
